Youth Alliance
What It Is:
A nonprofit in Kansas City focusing on bringing together high school students of all backgrounds over the common value of service.
My Role:
Graphic Design, PR, Event Planning
My Impact:
I recruited and trained the rising group of student leaders, culminating in a full-day workshop led by Chicago's Interfaith Youth Core and attended by over 30 KC youth. I also began the connections resulting in a week-long service interfaith retreat during the following summer.
The Summer of 2015, I planned all of KCIYA's Summer events, including movie screenings and service events. In addition, I built our network of Kansas City faith and nonfaith youth groups. Lastly, I redesigned KCIYA's promotional materials and created graphic designs to attract student leaders and potential donors.
